In 2020, I was hospitalized due to mental illnesses. This mental breakdown made me realize that I was in a furnace 7 times hotter than anything that I had ever faced. Through prayer and coping techniques, I managed to walk out of that facility with peace and a new sense of knowing that I can withstand anything.

During my aftercare experience, I began to incorporate candles into my daily meditations and calming rituals as a way to steer clear of dark, negative thoughts and cope with my triggers. This source of light made me feel so at peace with myself that it quickly developed into a passion. In 2023, Withstand Pressure Candle Co. was established with the sole mission of promoting mental wellness through the symbolic flicker of a candle to overcome mental battles by refusing to give into darkness. Our hope is to be a beacon of light for those who struggle with mental battles. By providing an ambiance of relaxation with handmade, natural products we aim to reduce the effects of stress.

Our message to others struggling with mental health challenges is that you too can be an overcomer! You were built to withstand all things!  "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed," 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9.
